Before using Podpage, the Loud Quiet – Empty Nest Living podcast had a simple online presence that did little more than signal credibility. Today, their website is a polished, professional hub that reflects the quality of their show—and has opened the door to new sponsorships and partnerships.
Co-hosts Rick and Clancy Denton started their podcast to explore what it means to thrive—not just survive—during the empty nest years. They now use Podpage to manage every part of their digital presence, from showcasing guests to capturing new subscribers.
From basic to professional
When Rick first built their site, he used Transistor’s free website feature. It was, in his words, “basic.”
“It worked. It did the trick. It allowed us to have the credibility marker of ‘go to our website.’ But that was it—it stopped at the credibility marker layer.”
After switching to Podpage, the transformation was immediate.
“It’s gone from basic to professional. Now it’s, ‘Hey, you can go to theloudquiet.com.’ On our site you can find all our episodes, sign up for our newsletter, and connect with our community—all without needing to code.”
Rick says the change not only improved their workflow but also how they present themselves publicly.
“We feel proud to speak to book publishers, to media, and to sponsors because we look professional. And with that level of credibility, the business opportunities have started to come in as well.”
Small details that make a big impact
One of Rick’s favorite discoveries has been Podpage’s Guest Pages feature.
“It wasn’t something I knew about when I signed up. But now I can say to my guests, ‘Hey, fill out this info and you’ll have your own page on our website.’ It just looks cool to see their headshot at the bottom of the episode—it adds another level of professionalism and shine.”
He also appreciates that Podpage automatically creates a full index of past guests.
“When you go there and see all the people who’ve been a part of this—it’s really cool. It’s going to be great to watch that evolve over time.”
Building connection through podcasting
Rick and Clancy started the Loud Quiet podcast as a way to reconnect after their children left for college. What began as a personal project soon resonated with others navigating the same life transition.
“We realized there wasn’t a lot out there about thriving in the empty nest. We wanted to go beyond comforting stories and instead talk about what it means to really live in this phase—together.”
Since launching their Podpage site, the show’s credibility and visibility have grown alongside its audience. The professionalism of their web presence has made it easier to pitch guests, attract sponsors, and strengthen their community.
“It truly changed how we present ourselves to the market,” says Rick. “And we didn’t have to be coders to do it.”
