How Tiffany Bartok launched a studio-quality podcast website in one day—with no code and no agency
When COVID brought film and production work to a halt, Tiffany Bartok turned to podcasting as a way to stay creative—and stay connected to the entertainment industry. As a documentary filmmaker and professional makeup artist, she had the perfect network to launch a new show that looked behind the scenes at beauty, fashion, and pop culture’s most iconic looks.
The result was Look Behind The Look, a podcast about the creatives who defined the aesthetics of modern culture—from TV and music to the runway and red carpet.
But building a website for the show proved harder than expected.
“I was absolutely not able to make it with a competitive design. I was met with complete frustration when I tried to do it myself.”
Hiring a designer was out of budget—and DIY was overwhelming
Like many new podcasters, Tiffany didn’t yet have sponsors or ad revenue when she launched. She knew her show needed a strong web presence to compete—but most web design options were either too complex or too expensive.
“I had not monetized my podcast yet, and was shopping for designers because it was too much to take on in addition to the actual podcast.”
“The cost of designers that you can trust is extremely cost prohibitive of course in the beginning.”
Trying to design it herself meant hours of reading SEO guides, learning embedding tools, and trying to match the polish of more established shows.
“I would have to read endless articles about how to optimize SEO, create links to players—and then on top of all this, make it look sleek and as trendy as the competition.”
Podpage: a complete website, live in one day
Everything changed when Tiffany found Podpage. She imported her feed and launched a professional-looking site the same day.
“I was able to create a site that I love and am confident to present and promote in only one day.”
“Podpage saved me thousands in start-up costs. I am able to be my own web designer and SEO expert with their simple and effective tools.”
The site wasn’t just easy to build—it was ready to grow with her. SEO optimization, player integrations, shareability, and monetization features were all built in.
“I created a site that can be monetized, shared easily on social by my audience, and instantly ranked high in SEO.”
Control, confidence, and room to grow
Tiffany now manages every part of her podcast site herself. The result is not just time saved—but full creative control over her show’s presentation.
“I can do absolutely everything myself with Podpage, which removes so much stress and helps me to be in control of my content and deadlines.”
Guests love it too. With a clean site and clear formatting, they can easily preview their episode and share it with confidence.
“Sending potential guests the site is something that I feel confident doing. It helps potential guests feel good because they can easily see that they will be represented well, are in great company, and can confidently share their episode once it is up.”
And Podpage continues to evolve. New features give Tiffany more ways to grow her show and connect with her audience.
“I love that Podpage is always improving. I’m excited by all of the new things it offers on a regular basis, and sometimes I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface.”
Looking ahead: monetization and scale
Now that the site is established, Tiffany is focused on monetization—using tools that Podpage already makes available.
“A goal of mine for the remainder of the year is to utilize all of the ways to monetize that Podpage has to offer—especially using affiliate marketing and the blog feature.”
Podpage didn’t just make her podcast launch possible—it removed the steepest barriers to entry.
“You made it so much easier to jump into the podcast launch by removing the difficulties of jumping into this market, which would otherwise stop some creatives from ever taking that step into podcasting.”
“With Podpage, I am able to stay independent, in control, and stand out from the competition.”
